ID : 58413
« back to classes page
Students in English 10-1 will analyze, respond to and create complex texts as well as identify and examine ways in which cultural and societal influences are reflected in a variety of Canadian and international texts. The 10-1, 20-1, 30-1 course sequence challenges students to develop a level of sophistication in their literary analyses and written expression, making 30-1 the necessary prerequisite for most university faculties and other post-secondary institutions. Students should have their own dictionary and thesaurus.

Prerequisite: Language Arts 9: 50%. Students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund if they are under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year.

Students are expected to supply their own dictionary and thesaurus.
