In the Math 30-2 program, students will prepare for entry into post-secondary programs that do not require advanced mathematical skills, such as Arts, medical technologies, or some apprenticeship programs. Topics include: Logical Reasoning, Probability and Relations and Functions. Students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund if they are under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year. A graphing calculator is required for this course. Students must write a diploma exam in January, June or August. If a student has written a diploma exam for this subject within the last 3 school years, Alberta Education requires the student pay $26.25 to rewrite the exam. The fee is payable directly to Alberta Education and can only be done through the student’s myPass account. The fee is to be paid before rewriting the exam.
