CourseGraphic Learn how to apply the elements and principles of design, floral shapes and forms, focal point and colour theory in this entry-level floral design course. Discover how to care for and handle cut flowers. You'll wire, tape, choose containers, make ribbons and bows, and create a variety of arrangements, including triangular, round, line, one-sided, novelty, centerpiece, corsage and boutonniere. Discussions will include shipping and handling, fillers, tinting, painting, theory and more. Tools are needed. Materials: $395 Read course outlines

Please read: NOTE: Class registration will close at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 to give the instructor adequate time to purchase the supplies needed for the class. To withdraw from the class for a refund, please notify Metro's Registration & Customer Service office at least two full business days prior to the April 18 registration deadline. Required items: Floral shears, a colourwheel and a sharp knife (may be purchased at Metro's Online Bookstore). As well please bring needle nose pliers and regular scissors for cutting ribbon. Register early to avoid disappointment.
