Trail Running Basics

Ever look at those twisty trails off the beaten path and wonder where they go? Discover the joy of trail running, where the focus is on the journey and not the destination. You will explore and fall in love with different trails in parts of the Edmonton River Valley on a variety of terrains, from hills to grassy paths to technical single track—everything except pavement and asphalt. The first class will include an orientation on equipment needed for a successful trail run, from shoes to hydration systems to headlamps to poles. Leave your earbuds at home and bring a water bottle, a camera and your smile! Wear sturdy running shoes and dress for the weather, because the class will run rain or shine. All fitness levels welcome.
