Course number : ELA1105   ID : 62157
« back to classes page

Students in English 20-1 will analyze, respond to and create complex texts as well as identify and examine ways in which cultural and societal influences are reflected in a variety of Canadian and international texts. The 10-1, 20-1, 30-1 course sequence challenges students to develop a level of sophistication in their literary analyses and written expression, making 30-1 the necessary prerequisite for most university faculties and other post-secondary institutions.

Prerequisite: English 10-1: 50% or English 20-2: 65%. Students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund if they are under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year.
