Math 30-1 - Queen Elizabeth - In-Person Class

In the Math 30-1 program, students will prepare for entry into post-secondary programs such as engineering, mathematics, sciences or other programs that require advanced math skills. Topics include: Trigonometry, Relations and Functions, Permutations and Combinations and Binomial Theorem. A graphing calculator is required for this course.

Prerequisite: Math 20-1 or 30-2 (50%+, but a mark of 60%+ is strongly recommended). Unless they are mature students, students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund. 

Students must write a diploma exam in November, January, April, June or August. If a student has written a diploma exam for this subject within the last 3 school years, Alberta Education requires the student to pay $26.25 to rewrite the exam. The fee is payable directly to Alberta Education and can only be done through the student’s myPass account. The fee is to be paid before rewriting the exam.
