Biology 30 - Ross Sheppard - In-Person Class

This academic program explores the interactions of living systems with one another and with their environment. In Biology 30, the emphasis is on adaptation and change. The four topics covered are: Systems Regulating Change in Human Organisms, Reproduction and Development, Cells, Chromosomes and DNA and Change in Populations and Communities.

Prerequisite: Biology 20 – 50%. Students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund if they are under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year.
 
Students must write a diploma exam in November, January, April, June or August. If a student has written a diploma exam for this subject within the last 3 school years, Alberta Education requires the student pay $26.25 to rewrite the exam. The fee is payable directly to Alberta Education and can only be done through the student’s myPass account. The fee is to be paid before rewriting the exam.
