Quarterly fast track courses move TWICE AS FAST as semestered courses. Students should consider the time and space they have to dedicate to their studies in choosing the timing of course-delivery.


In Mathematics 10C students determine the surface area and volume of 3-D objects and use trigonometric ratios to solve problems involving right triangles. They simplify expressions that involve powers with integral and rational exponents and
simplify or factor polynomial expressions. At this level, students also analyze linear relations, solve systems of linear equations, and solve problems related to both of these
sets of skills.

Prerequisite: Math 9 (50%+). Students without the prerequisite must withdraw from class with no refund if they are under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year.

REGISTRATION for this class begins Monday December 1, 2025 and will close Sunday April 12, 2026. From Monday April 13, 2026 to Thursday April 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM - ONLY students who are CURRENTLY ATTENDING an EDMONTON PUBLIC SCHOOL may register if there are seats available in the class by calling Metro at 780-428-1111

NOTE: Quarterly fast track courses move twice as fast as semestered courses. Students should consider the time and space they have to dedicate to their studies before choosing to enroll in a Fast Track course.

This 8 week class is delivered all ONLINE. Classes are Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:50 pm. Students are expected to be present on all days and to participate and be engaged in learning activities for the duration of class time.

For this course – students MUST have a Chromebook, laptop, or desktop computer available for their use (not a cell phone or tablet). The device used must have a webcam, a microphone, and access to the Internet.

TOTAL COST - Students under 20 years on Sep 1 of the current school year: A $75 non-refundable program fee. Students 20 years and over on Sep 1 of current school year: $75 non-refundable program fee and $600 tuition.

All study/reading resources required for this course are in an ONLINE FORMAT and access will be supplied by your teacher. A graphing calculator is required for this course and students are expected to provide their own.

NOTE: There will be NO CLASSES May 28 & 30.
