In Social Studies 30-1 students examine multiple perspectives on various ideologies and on the influence of these ideologies, focusing particularly on liberalism. They develop an understanding of how ideologies can shape us and our world.

Prerequisites: Social Studies 20-1 or Social Studies 30-2: 50%. 

* Students under 20 years of age as of September 1 of the current school year who register without the prerequisite class will be withdrawn from class without notice. The $60 fee is non-refundable.

Students taking this course must write a diploma exam according to the provincial assessment calendar.

Students taking this course must write a diploma exam according to the provincial assessment calendar. If a student has written a diploma exam for this subject within the last 3 school years, the student must register for the exam and pay the $26.25 rewrite fee through Alberta Education’s MyPass account. The fee is to be paid before rewriting the exam.

TOTAL COST - A $60 non-refundable program fee for students under 20 years on Sep 1 of the current school year.
