Through activities in the school and community, students will explore their physical abilities and improve their fitness level. They will understand that fitness impacts well-being and body image. Communicating with others, students will develop a sense of fair play and exercise their leadership abilities. They will discover the importance of safe, active living for life; set goals; and challenge themselves as part of an active, healthy lifestyle.

* A Field Trip Consent Form is required - these will be supplied to all students on their first day of class. 

Physical Education 10 is a requirement for achieving a high school diploma.

Notice

Please read: 

This is an IN-PERSON class. Students must be present on all days and participate in all learning activities in order to be successful in the class.

For the first class students are expected to be dressed appropriately to participate in outdoor or indoor activities. Recommended: cross-trainer type running shoes, shorts/sweats, t-shirt. A water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent are also useful.

As many Division schools schedule Physical Education 10 and CALM together, it is recommended that students complete both courses during the summer as there may be limited opportunities to register in either course as a separate offering during the regular school year.

TOTAL COST - Students under 20 years on Sep 1 of the current school year: A $60 non-refundable program fee.
