English 30-2 - WINTER 2022: Semester 2 - Online Asynchronous (Online Self-Paced Teacher-Supported)

ONLY students who are 20 years of age or older on September 1, 2021 may register for this class.

Online Asynchronous (Online Self-Paced Teacher-Supported): Students will be included in a learning community while having the flexibility to access their learning at their desired time within a week. Attendance in an asynchronous program is based on work completion and engagement in online learning activities. A teacher will be available on a weekly basis to connect with students about their course.

This class will start on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 and finish on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. During this time, students will have 24/7 access to the materials/resources for the course.

Students will be contacted on or before February 2, and will be provided with information about online access to all course materials, and the dates/times when a SUPPORT TEACHER will be available. Students will use SchoolZone to access their class. Further information about SchoolZone is outlined in your Class Confirmation email.

Once a schedule has been established, students can meet with their teacher on their scheduled dates and times each week if they need assistance.

Students taking this course are required to write the diploma exam. Diploma exams are offered in November, January, April, June or August.

TOTAL COST - Students 20 years and over on Sep 1 of current school year: $60 non-refundable program fee and $589 tuition.

For this course – students MUST have a Chromebook, laptop, or desktop computer available for their use (not a cell phone or tablet). The device used must have a webcam, a microphone, and access to the Internet.
