Architectural Tour of Edmonton

ClassGraphic Over the course of this fun and unique tour, you will have the opportunity to look at and explore four different buildings in Edmonton: Neil Crawford Centre, Alberta Legislature, Hotel MacDonald and the Art Gallery of Alberta. These buildings represent a cross section of the history of Edmonton and how architecture played a part in our city’s history.You will be given a private tour of each building and debrief the design and history between stops. It is recommended that you have taken the course Architectural History, but not a requirement.

The tour will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the parking lot of McKernan School (11330 76 Ave). The LRT will be used to travel from location to location and students will be required to purchase an LRT day pass. Please wear good walking shoes! The tour will conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m. in downtown Edmonton.
