Julie Heuman is a professional makeup artist who has worked in television, film, theatre and fashion for more than 25 years. Julie graduated with honours in clothing and design from SAIT in Calgary, and went on to teach and to direct the Clothing and Design Department at NAIT in Edmonton for 14 years.She has taken many courses in makeup artistry in Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Los Angeles and has also taught makeup classes at NAIT.
The highlight of Julie's career was working for Roger Tilton Productions on the RCMP documentary "The Force", handling costumes, makeup and special effects for the film.
Julie is passionate, knowledgeable, and willing to share her expertise with the students.
Currently a free-lance makeup artist, Julie also shares her expertise and enthusiasm through presentations to groups, individual makeovers and consultations, and classroom instruction. As a two-time cancer survivor and a recent amputee, she has a passion for life and for maintaining personal style.
